Husband and wife … by assault: stopped by the Carabinieri with baseball bats and wrenches like “katanga” in the car; perhaps they were carrying the (improper) weapons somewhere to carry out a punitive expedition or organize a violent brawl.

Fortunately, they were first intercepted by the military who accidentally stopped them along the State Road 10. At the request for documents and after a quick check with the brain of the Police Headquarters, it turned out that the both spouses had a small criminal record. One is therefore obligatory thorough search of the car, in which the mallets and wrenches. The two are resident in the province of Verona.

In a car with baseball bats and wrenches carried around like normal everyday objects … This married couple, Italians living in the Verona area, was denounced by Carabinieri of the Cremona Radiomobile for illegal carrying of weapons and objects capable of offending. At around 11.00 pm last night, during the territorial control service, the Carabinieri stopped a car along State Road 10 in the municipality of Gadesco Pieve Delmona: on board the two spouses, already known to the police for their precedents.

Car searched

During the check, the soldiers searched the car and the two subjects, finding one wooden baseball bat with a length of 72 centimetersi cleverly hidden under the passenger seat as well as another wooden club with a length of 59 centimeters and one large wrench inside the rear hood.

The “weapons”, carried around without any plausible justification, have been subjected to seizure while for the two the complaint on the loose: the offense is formally “carrying objects capable of offending”, punishable according to law 110 of 1975 with a complaint and a fine of up to 20,000 euros.

So it ended badly for this husband and wife … assault stopped by the Carabinieri with clubs and wrenches.
