[Sendai Branch]On the 3rd day of the 74th Autumn Tohoku District High School Baseball Tournament, 4 quarterfinals were played at Ishinomaki City Baseball Stadium in Miyagi Prefecture, and Hanamaki Higashi, the first representative of this prefecture, was the champion of Sendai Ikuei last fall. He defeated Miyagi 1) 8-2 and finished in the top four for the second consecutive year. Hachinohe Institute of Technology (Aomori No. 2), Aomori Yamada (Aomori No. 1) and Seiko Gakuin (Fukushima No. 1) also advanced to the semi-finals.

Hanamaki Higashi defeated Sendai Ikuei, who had a tough time in the semi-finals last fall. Daiki Manya (same) in the main game held down the key points and completed a complete game with 8 hits and 2 runs. The batting line was also added in small steps.

On the 24th of the 4th, two semi-finals will be played at the stadium, and Hanamaki Higashi, who is aiming to advance to the final for the first time in four years, will face Hachinohe Institute of Technology in the first game (starting at 10 am). If we proceed to the final, next spring’s participation in Senbatsu Koshien, which is given two slots in the Tohoku area, will be influential.
