RACERS The Petronas Yamaha team, Valentino Rossi, is very upset about the great accident that occurred in the 2021 United States (US) Moto3 race. The Doctor – nicknamed Valentino Rossi – criticized the organizers’ decision to repeat five laps after the first crash.
As is known, the race which took place on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at night WIB ended in darkness. A total of two horror accidents occurred.

The first accident was experienced by Filip Salac who fell at corner 11 on lap 8. The CarXpert Prustel GP racer suffered a tire slip and bounced off. Even this incident took off Filip Salac’s right glove.
Immediately the organizers raised the red flag to stop the race temporarily. However, after it was confirmed that Salac was conscious, the race resumed.
However, the organizers decided the race should be repeated five laps. Unexpectedly, in the second race was held, another great accident occurred. This time it involved Pedro Acosta, Deniz Oncu, Andrea Migno, and Jeremy Alcoba.
In the race with three laps remaining, Alcoba fell after colliding with Deniz Oncu which caused the three drivers behind him to bounce. Luckily there were no serious injuries here.

For this incident, the Moto3 has punished Deniz Oncu with a ban from appearing for the next two races because he was named the mastermind of this accident. Deniz Oncu has cut the front wheel of Jeremy Alcoba dangerously.
Valentino Rossi agrees with Deniz Oncu’s severe punishment. However, he criticized the decision to re-start the race after the first red flag because it was tantamount to gambling lives.
“For me today they made the mistake of restarting Moto3 for five laps, and it was too dangerous for five laps. It’s like Russian Roulette,” said Valentino Rossi Motorsport on Tuesday (5/10/2021).
“But other than that, Oncu was moving straight when he found out he had another rider beside him and cut in. It was a potentially fatal accident. I’m so scared for everyone,” he continued.
“You have to respect your safety and the safety of your rivals, and this is the most important thing than getting one position because here you are playing with the lives of young players and it has the potential to be a disaster,” said Valentino Rossi.
Currently, Pedro Acosta sits at the top of Moto3 2021 with 218 points. He is 30 points ahead of Dennis Foggia in second position.
