Seventeen nations, including the United States, eight disciplines: the EuroTri Games 2021 will start this morning, after yesterday’s inaugural ceremony at the Paolo Mazza stadium. Today’s program includes two 5-a-side football matches, the start of the judo program, first challenges in swimming, the beginning of basketball and tennis challenges, closing with table tennis. Having fun all together must be the first goal of the games reserved for athletes with down syndrome, who since yesterday morning have flooded Ferrara with choirs and color. First Piazza Municipale, then at the Mazza, in the middle of Via Garibaldi dressed up thanks to the colorful and noisy passage of the 17 delegations of athletes.
