Frolík did not score on his debut for Lausanne

Czech hockey striker Michael Frolík, who ended his long-term career in the NHL last week, made his debut at the new Lausanne site on Tuesday. The 33-year-old native of Kladno started in the center of the first attack and did not gain points, his team lost in the Swiss league despite a two-goal 2: 3 lead on Ambri-Piotta’s ice.

Frolík played over 900 games in the NHL, including the playoffs. In 2013, he won the Stanley Cup with Chicago, winning two bronze medals at the national championships. Before the season, he completed a preparatory camp in St. Louis, however, did not win the contract and agreed on a two-year contract with Lausanne.

His new team ranks tenth in the Swiss league’s 13-member table, the last to advance to the pre-round of the playoffs. Another Czech Lausanne striker Jiří Sekáč did not enter the statistics today.
