Let’s make a small summary of the results obtained by our children starting with the smallest.
Under 12: a team that faces its championship for the first year, starts with many difficulties, but with the passing of the matches manages to take small steps forward to get ready for next year.
Under 14: a team masterpiece, they participate in the difficult Romagna championship, with tenacity and skill they manage to win their group by getting rid of highly rated teams. Too bad the defeat in the Marche cup to end the season with a flourish.
Under 15: here too, a masterpiece of our athletes, they win the regional title with great stubbornness with a nice coat of eight wins out of eight matches. They participate in the concentration for the national phase but with a great performance they are defeated by a whisker. Too bad here too for the Marche cup lost, it would have been a nice icing.
Under 18: note a bit ‘painful but with many excuses, they are unable to achieve striking results.
All in all, an amazing season for the youth teams. Great growth of our boys with the call to the national team of Michael Cifalino in the Under 14, Filippo Baldassarri in the Under 15 and the young athlete Lea Sperandio in the Under 15 softball.
Tommaso Giacomini deserves a separate mention, having joined the Under 18 blue team, he participated in the European category championships becoming vice champion of Europe, thus qualifying for the next world championships to be held in Florida (COVID permitting).
We come to senior who, for the second year, participate in the Serie C championship. Another year of growth for our boys, all very young and Under 18, good work done by the technicians to be able in the future to aspire to a promotion and regain other categories.
Let’s not forget our old men, for seniority in sport not for age, who also this year have given a hand in other categories.
Mirko Ruspini, Jesus Baro and Tommaso Giacomini played in the top league with Macerata, clearly winning their group and then participating in the championship with good results, finishing in 5th place overall.
Alessandro Bellucci, also in the top flight with the Athletics Bologna contributed to an excellent salvation.
Diego Albertoni and Ronnie Rodriguez in Serie B in Fano by a whisker did not win promotion to Serie A.
Last, in order of caption, the birth of softball. A group of girls who have approached this sport for the first time and are working towards a future of growth.
Excellent season for the club, thanks also to the contribution of the main sponsor Papalini and all of our associates.
A growing youth sector, a first team you can work with and our athletes on loan to other teams at higher levels. All put together to get back to having fun and getting good results.
Finally, the usual thanks for everyone, first of all ours President Cristiano Crinelli, ours technicians, without their experience certain results cannot be achieved, i senior executives, there would be no organization, without forgetting who does the “dirty work”, i parents, without their support certain activities would not hesitate.
The company thanks and looks forward to next year for the baseball played, but the activity continues already with the preparation, with the wish to review our famous summer tournaments.
