Braves lead 2-1 against Astros in World Series

Atlanta took the lead in the final against Houston.

The Atlanta Braves recaptured the 2-1 win over the Houston Astros in the MLB World Series, winning Game 3 2-0 on Friday at home.

Young Ian Anderson, 23, put in the perfect performance as none of his shots were hit by opposing beaters in five periods. He was the first rookie to achieve such a performance in a baseball championship final since 1912.

Travis d’Arnaud had a home run late in the game and Austin Riley had previously sent two decisive blows to ensure success for the Braves.

The fourth game will take place on Saturday night, still in Georgia. The Astros, who lost in seven games against Washington in the 2019 World Series, will have to react.
