Alejandro Nuño passed like a hurricane through the Lugones bowling alley yesterday. The player from the El Piles club had an extraordinary game to win 14 to 6 against Berto Faya, de la Peña Sotrondio in the first game of the second semifinal of the First Category Asturias Championship. This afternoon, starting at 5:00 p.m., the first semifinal will be resolved with the return game between Pedro Blanco (El Chalupu) and Marco Martínez (Rozaes) after the 14-12 of the first duel.

Nuño was far superior against a left-handed opponent who won all six of his games by shooting for his thumb, that is, his hand. The first part was a real monologue, because the Northerner came to rest leading by a resounding 7 to 1. From there, Berto Faya could not do more than make up the scoreboard, as he had no opportunity to come back. The 11 to 3 presaged an irrecoverable result, but in the end Sotrondio’s managed to finish the game with six games, a little baggage to face the return scheduled for Monday at seven in the afternoon.

The winner took the games in which he ordered to win for the hand 55, 41, 45 and 45 points, he killed for the thumb 34, 32 and 37, he erased for the hand 35, 40, 32, 36, 30 and 31, in addition to winning one that put 53 for the thumb.

For his part, Berto only added one that put 49 for the thumb and those that he killed for the same side of 34, 39, 34, 34 and 41.

The final of this test framed in the Bolistic Week of Lugones, sponsored by Cafés Oquendo, will be played on Tuesday at seven in the afternoon at the indoor bowling alley in the town of Sierras.
