Dāvis Bertāns, a player of the Washington “Wizards” of the National Basketball Association (NBA) club, has not participated in the team’s open training today, reports “NBC Sports” reviewer Cheise Hughes.

The observer points out that during the training it could be noticed that non-participation in the training could be related to the leg egg injury injured at the end of the previous season. This was later confirmed by Wizards head coach Vess Anseld Jr., who said that at the beginning of the training Bertāns participated, but then the injury was slightly refreshed and more in-depth examinations will be performed tomorrow. However, the specialist acknowledged that the injury was not likely to be serious.

Bertāns has so far participated in pre-season test matches, attacking the basket with a rather poor shot accuracy. In the first battle against the Houston Rockets, he stood out with five points (1 p. 2/3; 3 p. 1/6) and three rebounds, while against the New York Knicks, he scored eight points (1 p. 1). 3/3, 2 pp. 2/8 and 3 pp. 1/6) and two balls under the baskets.

The next match for Dāvis and “Wizards” is scheduled for the night of October 13 at 02:00 Latvian time, meeting with the Toronto Raptors unit.
