The fan camps of both clubs are considered to be enemies. Despite “all rivalry”, calls were made to “make the day in the stadium and around the game peaceful.”

Because the 2G rule applies in Millerntor, Hansa has returned the ticket quota for the guest block, so that there will be no Hansa fans in the stadium. But the police are still expecting a few hundred Rostock fans to travel to Hamburg on Sunday. “The announced absence of the Rostock fans is rather aggravating the situation,” says a police spokeswoman.

The officials are on site with a large number

With water cannons and clearing tanks, over 1,500 police officers are ready in the Glacischaussee to contain the expected riots in the high-risk game between Hansa Rostock and St. Pauli in the Millerntor Stadium.

The Hamburg police are on duty at various larger train stations and have a strong presence.

At the moment, more and more car controls are being carried out throughout the city. Hansa fans have to leave Hamburg directly.

At around 11:40 a.m., another 80 Hansa fans arrived at the main train station. The fans have so far been allowed to stay in St. Georg unhindered. The police are now accompanying the fan group and taking personal details.

Around 1.30 p.m., Hansa fans tried to take the train to Hamburg. In Thesdorf the police controlled the train going into town. Numerous hooligans fled. The officers were able to catch 60 of them. They are now being tied up in HVV buses and brought to a prisoner collection point in Hamburg.
