Dallas – The Dallas Mavericks with Maximilian Kleber have won their first home game of the season in the North American professional basketball league NBA. In the Texan duel with the Houston Rockets for Daniel Theis, the Mavericks won 116: 106.
The outstanding actor was once again Luka Doncic with 26 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists. Kleber came off the bench to nine points and seven rebounds in just over 16 minutes of play. Theis started for the Rockets and scored a so-called double double with 15 points and ten rebounds, including the center hit three of his four three-point throws.
Without superstar LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers prevented a false start to the new season. At the San Antonio Spurs, the 2020 champions won 125: 121 after extra time and now stands with two wins and two losses. In the absence of James, who was spared because of ankle problems, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook shone with 35 and 33 points.
The Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz meanwhile keep a perfect balance. The Warriors won 106-98 against the still-winless Oklahoma City Thunder and the Jazz 122-110 against the Denver Nuggets, whose superstar Nikola Jokic, most valuable player of the past NBA season, suffered a knee injury in a collision in the first half .
After 15 defeats in a row, the New York Knicks won against the Philadelphia 76ers for the first time since 2017.
