In two weeks, the organizers of the Rolex Paris Masters will be in the starting blocks. The first of them will be Guy Forget, the tournament director. He also told himself behind the scenes that this could be his last Bercy.

Guy will indeed have the heavy task of assigning and announcing the invitations offered by the organization. This choice will be more difficult than in previous years because our Tricolores are not at the party at the level of the ATP ranking. To date, only two French people enter directly into the table, it is Gaël Monfils and Ugo Humbert while the tournament grants only four invitations.

So what will the strategy be? Thank the “historical”?

Give a sesame to those who are part of the famous Davis Cup pre-list? Give a jubilee to Jo ‐ Wilfried Tsonga? Reward a surprise player who has had a great year? Deprive of an Andy Murray, if he applies?

After the revelations linked to the Pandora Papers, Guy Forget will have a rather busy end of the season, which was not necessarily the case for several years …
