SANTO DOMINGO.- The Judo Association of the National District (Asojudina) and the Judo Naco club won first places in their respective areas in the Invitational Investment and Reserves tournament held on Sunday at the National Judo House of the Olympic Center.
In the tournament, organized by the Asojudina and dedicated to the Farach Foundation, athletes from six associations and six clubs from the National District took part.
To win the first place trophy, the Asojudina obtained a total of 1,423 points, the product of 13 gold, 11 silver and 13 bronze medals, while the second place went to the Judo Association of San Juan de la Maguana , with 514 tatos winning five gold, one silver and four bronze medals.
The third step went to the Judo Association of the Duarte Province, which won four gold metals, one silver and the other bronze, for a total of 411 points.
With 400 goals, the San Pedro de Macorís Judo Association took fourth place. He added four gold medals. La Vega, with 330 points, finished in fifth place, and Monta Plata was sixth with 232 points.
“The event had a great splendor, and drew attention due to the high competitive level when the best children’s judokas from all over the country were presented,” said Ángel Serrulle, president of Asojudina.
General champion by clubs
In the competitions between clubs, the champion was Naco Judo, with four gold, six silver and two bronze medals, for a total of 462 points, followed by Club Villa Francisca, with four gold medals, one silver and three bronze, for 413 points.
The third place, with 305 points, was won by the Club Casa Nacional, after adding two gold, three silver and five bronze medals.
