From October 13 to 22, the Jeunes Tarn nord mission is organizing a series of actions to highlight its work and skills.
At the young Tarn North mission, it is not only a question of employment and training. “Among our skills, there are also autonomy, health, mobility, housing and citizenship”, underlines the director, Sylvie Déjean. The local mission, which has three branches (in Albi, Carmaux and Gaillac) precisely wishes to highlight all this offer available to young people, on the occasion of the National Week of Local Missions.
From October 13 to 22, a series of actions will be carried out in the region: workshops, info-collectives, virtual simulations, cultural events. Overview of these actions.
On the health side, a health check will be offered for all those who wish, with the CPAM, just to hang up on the institution and certain fundamentals such as having an attending physician. In parallel, an ephemeral vaccination operation will take place on October 18 at the local mission of Albi.
Discovery of the hotel and catering industry by practicing
Sport is also a key factor: an archery workshop will take place in Gaillac. A workshop on dematerialized administrative procedures will allow everyone to see more clearly in their paperwork … Another will offer to help manage their budget.
In the field of employment, a “virtual trades” workshop, with virtual reality headsets, will offer immersion in a wide range of professions (building, industry, hotel industry). A visit is planned to the castle of Castelroc which offers days or weeks of discovery, even hiring young people in civic service. This partner enables people to discover artisanal trades, the importance of preserving heritage, citizenship, etc.
Young people will also be able to immerse themselves in the hotel and catering industry by practicing: “to arouse interest, you can discover the profession by gesture”, explains Mylène Vanacker. A meeting with a temp agency will also offer employment opportunities to some.
