US Open – Tennis star Garbiñe Muguruza pissed off at the winner Barbora Krejcikova

Garbiñe Muguruza was as good as eliminated. 3: 6 and 0: 4 was the result from the perspective of the 27-year-olds. Nothing worked anymore, it seemed.

Muguruza was anything but happy with the way things were going, as she emphasized at the press conference after the game. “I wasn’t really happy at the end of the match. Between players, you should know how to behave at certain moments,” said Muguruza, attacking ninth in the world rankings.

Actually, she doesn’t want to say that much on the subject. “Folks, I leave it up to you how you rate it,” said Muguruza to the journalists.

Krejcikova defends himself: “Couldn’t breathe”

Krejcikova, however, defended her behavior, claiming that she was battered. “In the end I had problems and I feel really bad now. I don’t know exactly what happened, but I couldn’t breathe anymore. I felt dizzy and the world began to shake,” said the 25-year-old. “That has never happened to me.”

In the final phase of the encounter, she mobilized all her strength again. “It’s tough because it was the first time I was on such a large pitch, played the night session and until then I had a lot of fun.”

She could also have it in the quarter-finals, although the hurdle could hardly be bigger. Krejcikova meets world number two Aryna Sabalenka – and will need all his strength again in this duel.
