The Super 20 starts in Córdoba

The ‘orange’ begins to bite in Argentina. It is that next Friday the new season of the National League begins with the Super 20, which will have its fifth edition. The 20 clubs will be divided into two conferences and four zones of five teams each.

The 10 from the North will play at the Ángel Sandrín stadium in Alta Córdoba, while the 10 from the South will be based in Buenos Aires.

In this first part, those from the same conference will be measured against each other, albeit facing each other crosswise. There will be five games in total for each institution.

Atenas and Instituto are the Cordovan representatives who face the moment with different realities and contexts. Those from the General Bustos neighborhood aim to raise the image with respect to recent seasons, while those from Alta Córdoba seek to continue being entertainers and protagonists among those who fight at the top.

Within this framework, both institutions are finishing forming their teams, already with their coaches working for several weeks: Sebastián Saborido took over at the ‘Griego’, and so much so that Lucas Victoriano took over at the ‘Gloria’. Atenas will debut before La Unión and Instituto in front of Communications.

The first qualifying part of the competition will take place in Córdoba.

Among the candidate teams that will play in the city, Quimsa from Santiago del Estero again appears, one of the animators after having raised the trophy in 2018 and being a finalist last season. It should be remembered that the team that is consecrated the winner will qualify for the Liga Sud-
americana.

As follows? It is not yet resolved where the next venues for the event will be. Yes, it will be played between October 10 and 16. From there they will qualify for Final 8, which will be played in a single venue between October 28 and 30.
The quarterfinals will be by lottery, with the particularity that the first and second from the same zone will not be able to cross, and the playoffs will be a single game.

The Club Association made the decision not to adopt sanitary bubbles, as happened last season.
