An unexpected guest has appeared this morning at the Vitoria Triathlon. The dense fog forced early this Sunday to delay the start of the competition and shortly after, due to the persistence of it, the organization decided to suspend the water test and go directly to the cycling test.
The triathletes, ready to swim in the Ullíbarri Gamboa reservoir on Landa beach, waited an hour for the fog to dissipate. However, this has not been the case and at 9.25 am the organization has decided to cancel the swim that should have started at 8.20 am.
With this, the competition will be reduced to only two tests, bicycle race and pedestrian, and will begin at 9.50 am.
