World number one Novak Djokovic (34) has canceled his participation in the prestigious Tennis Masters in Indian Wells (October 4th to 17th). Tournament director Tommy Haas announced this on Wednesday. Djokovic has already won five times in the California desert. He wrote on Twitter: “I’m sorry I won’t see my fans in Indian Wells and play in the desert, my favorite place. I hope to see you next year! “
