Russell Westbrook didn’t want a trade to the Clippers

In his first preseason with the Lakers, Russell Westbrook made it clear that if he was going to go to Los Angeles it would only be to the NBA franchise where he shares a roster with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

During the press conference for the start of the training field, Westbrook said that the general manager of the Wizards asked him if he wanted to be traded to the Clippers and his answer was a resounding “no”.

The stellar scoring point guard will form a luxury Big Three in Los Angeles with James and Davis. This makes them serious contenders for the 2021-22 season title.

Westbrook has career averages of 23.2 points, 8.5 assists and 7.4 rebounds per game.
