Razma “Nordic Darts Masters” wins the tenth number in the first round

Latvian darts thrower Madars Razma won an unexpected victory in the first round of the Nordic Darts Masters tournament in Copenhagen on Friday.

Razma defeated English dart thrower Neitan Espinol with a result of 6-4 in the fight to six wins. Razma ranks 52nd in the PDC, but his opponent is in tenth.

The Latvian darts thrower achieved the first break in this match, but in the fifth leg he did not hit the double 20-point field four times, due to which the opponent recovered with a break point and later reached 3-3. With another break, Razma scored 5-3, but in the following leg did not hit five winning darts in the required field. Anglis regained the point, but in the tenth leg Razma scored a point for the duel – 6-4.

In the second round, Razma will meet the third number of the ranking on Saturday with Michael van Gerven from the Netherlands or Darius Labanauskas from Lithuania, who is in the 39th position in the ranking.

The 16-player tournament has a prize pool of £ 60,000, one third of which will go to the winner. The tournament is attended by eight players from the Baltic States and the Scandinavian region, as well as eight dart throwers from Wales, Scotland, the Netherlands, Belgium and England. PDC leader Gervin Price from Wales has been nominated for the first number.
