Mexico seeks gold in basketball at U15 World School Games

Drafting.- With authority and with absolute dominance from the start of the meeting, the men’s national basketball team defeated its counterpart from France by 71-37 scoreboard, a result with which it settled in the final of the discipline of the U15 World School Games, which takes place in Belgrade, Serbia.

From the opening whistle, the Aztec team fought with great impetus, they were accurate in their shots and imposed conditions on the defense to go into the break with a 40-17 advantage.

For the third quarter, the French team had their best moments on the court; however, Mexico adjusted lines to go to the front 51-33. Already in the closing, those led by Adolfo Placencia Figueroa and Gerardo Rochín, did not give the rival a chance and completed the feat by winning 71-37.

With this result, the Mexicans make history, in their first appearance in this tournament, by adding their third victory and securing a medal for the country.

The duel for the world title of the contest will be played this Friday at 08:00, Central Mexico time, where the selection of the Mexican Federation of School Sports (FEMEDEES), will face again the whole of Serbia, which achieved his pass by winning the representative of Ukraine.
