Lionel Messi received a special guest visit in Paris Saint-Germain’s match against Manchester City. The flea met the British artist, Ed Sheeran.
Messi appeared as a starter in the second matchday of the 2021/2022 Champions League Group A between PSG vs Man City. The match was held at the Parc des Princes, Wednesday (29/9/2021) early morning WIB.
PSG opened the scoring in the eighth minute through Idrissa Gueye’s goal. The Parisians doubled the score in the 74th minute thanks to a spectacular goal from Messi.
The 34-year-old star dribbled from close to the halfway line, before playing a one-two with Kylian Mbappe and firing the ball into the Man City goal. PSG closed the game with a 2-0 win.
The PSG vs Man City duel was apparently also witnessed by popular singer Ed Sheeran. The singer of the song “Shape of You” was in the stands of the Parc des Princes with his family.
Sheeran didn’t just witness PSG’s win over Man City. The 30-year-old singer even met with Lionel Messi and PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino after the match.
Sheeran also immortalized the moment by taking pictures with Messi and Pochettino. He thanked PSG for the welcome that PSG gave him.
“Thank you for hosting me and my family @psg @leomessi @pochettino,” Sheeran wrote on his Instagram account.

Messi did not miss uploading a photo of himself with Ed Sheeran. The flea admitted that he was happy to meet the winner of the four Grammy Awards.
“Nice to meet you, Ed crack!!” said Messi.
His goal in the PSG vs Man City match was a special moment for Lionel Messi. It was the LM30’s first goal for Paris Saint-Germain since joining last summer.
