Matthew Stafford passed for 321 yards and three touchdowns in a dynamic debut with his new team, guiding the Los Angeles Rams to a victory on Sunday 34-14 over Andy Dalton and the Bears de Chicago.

Stafford found From Jefferson for a 67-yard touchdown on his second pass with the Rams, who traded to acquire the 13-year veteran from Detroit. Stafford found a completely unmarked Cooper Kupp for a 56-yard touchdown in the third quarter and secured the victory with a scoring connection with Robert Woods at 3:17 am from the end.

With Stafford instead of Jared Goff, the Rams looked like the offensive powerhouse again which were during the first two seasons under the coach’s tutelage Sean McVay, who put their record at 5-0 in opening games. The Rams scored on six of the first seven complete possessions Stafford and accumulated 375 yards of offense. Kupp finished with seven receptions for 108 yards.

Dalton passed for 206 yards in his Bears debut, and rookie quarterback Justin Fields ran for a three-yard touchdown as part of a handful of plays in his NFL appearance. Chicago moved the chains steadily, but a Dalton interception in the end zone to slow down a first offense allowed Chicago to play behind all night.

David Montgomery rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown for the Bears, who left their mark at 1-3 in the first week of the season under Matt Nagy.
