Malik Monk can’t wait to play alongside LeBron and Davis

Despite not being an overly complicated milestone, Malik Monk has been the Los Angeles Lakers’ youngest signing during this free agency. He will also be the second-youngest player – behind only Horton-Tucker – with a standard contract on one of the oldest rosters in NBA history. It is not surprising then that he finds it difficult to control his excitement to play alongside some of the best players in the world. Specifically LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Monk feels his fit with the four-time MVP and NBA champion is going to be extremely straightforward. The exterior believes that their relationship will be symbiotic, James taking advantage of the spaces that Monk generates from the triple and the guard taking advantage of the creativity of the star to take his execution to the next level. The former Hornets could occupy a role similar to the one Caldwell-Pope has carried out in recent seasons, albeit with a lower weight in the defensive section. During his last season – the best of his professional stage – he has scored 11.7 points with more than 40% in the five triples he tries per game. In addition to showing himself capable of punctually manufacturing his own situations from the boat.

With Davis his feeling is one of simple admiration. “He is a big man who can play like an outsider. You can defend all positions. It is one of the most important pieces of equipment, is there anything it cannot do? I can’t wait to play with him, ”Monk declared in his talk with Mike Trudell to Spectrum SportsNet.
