Like every Monday, we go with the conclusions after the third day of NFL American football:
.- I don’t think anyone had any doubts, but Justin Tucker he’s the best kicker in the NFL. 66-yard field goal to win the game is ridiculous. Great pass from Lamar Jackson on fourth attempt. It wasn’t a pretty game, but it was a great win for Baltimore considering the losses on defense.
.- It was another “heart-breaking” loss for the Lions, but at least the young movement is working defensively, and the running back duo of D´Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams seems to have come here to stay. They won’t win many games, but they will be competitive.
.- Corradelle Patterson is exactly the wild card this Atlanta offense needed, which was quiet for the bulk of the game, but at least Matt Ryan he saved the best for last for the first win of the season.
.- In the day of Eli Manning, the Giants confirmed to have a poor offense. It did not help the fact that they had lost by injury to Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton. His schedule is brutal in the coming weeks, and starting 0-10 is a real possibility.
.- Josh Allen he had by far his best game of the season, and when that happens, the Bills look almost impossible to stop. Emmanuel Sanders He proved to be a good addition, and while Bills’ defense didn’t put as much pressure as last week, it was opportunistic.
.- Taylor Heinicke he continues to force the ball in situations that do not warrant it, but Washington’s main problem is that its defense has been the biggest disappointment of the season. There were high expectations placed on them, and Chase Young it has been conspicuous by its absence.
.- The difference between this year’s Cardinals and last season’s is that they can win even when they don’t have their best game. Christian Kirk and A.J. Green exceed 100 yards through the air and Arizona is 3-0 for the first time since 2005.
.- The Jaguars have lost 18 straight games. Trevor Lawrence he’s in a less than ideal situation, but he has thrown multiple interceptions in each of his games. The game plan should be more conservative. There is no talent.
.- The Titans survived all three turnovers, and injuries to A.J. Brown and July jones. It hasn’t been Tennessee’s cleanest start to the season, but they are firmer than ever at the top of the weak AFC South.
.- The Colts have started 0-3 for the first time since 2011. Carson Wentz he was clearly unhealthy, and the game plan was therefore very conservative. To top it all, significant injuries continue to accumulate. Quenton nelson out with an ankle injury.
.- Justin Herbert had a great game again, and his coach Brandon Staley he was aggressive in the last quarter. The defense generated four losses, and the Chargers show they want to be candidates. The penalties must be lowered.
.- The Chiefs defense continues to be a sieve, and in the red zone they have been exceptionally bad this season. Considering those problems are here to stay, the offense can’t make mistakes, and turnovers speak for themselves.
.- While they continue to slowly recover injuries, the Saints confirmed that they will be a rival to consider. Above all else because they have an elite defense at all three levels. Jameis Winston He flirted with disaster a couple of times, but the Saints do eventually come home.
.- Without Trent Brown, the offensive line is a gigantic problem. At the same time, the Patriots are not built to come from behind. Mac Jones He’s not in his element pitching deep, and had three interceptions today. For whatever reason, they sat Damien Harris, and was injured James White.
.- The Browns defense was absolutely dominant from start to finish. Myles Garrett he had 4.5 sacks of Cleveland’s nine total. Odell Beckham Jr. He looked healthy and did a good job on his debut this season. When it is not Nick Chubb, punishes you Kareem Hunt.
.- Justin Fields he was hit 15 of the 20 times he backed down. The offensive line is useless. The game plan didn’t help him and neither did his inability to read the uploads. The Chicago defense did what it could, but Fields’ debut was a quick one to forget.
.- Logan Wilson He played a great game with 14 tackles and 2 interceptions. The Bengals had four sacks, and after some preseason questioning, Ja´Marr Chase is having a great start to the campaign. An exciting triumph in Cincinnati.
.- In case anyone had any doubts, the Steelers are in an offensive crisis that will not be resolved until the offensive line improves and Big Ben’s successor arrives. Without TJ Watt and Alex Highsmith, Pittsburgh’s defense did not generate pressure all afternoon.
.- It was a costly victory for the Panthers, who started 3-0, but lost to Christian McCaffrey and Jaycee Horn for extended time. The defense has been the best in the league after three weeks, and with a somewhat benign schedule, they may be able to keep the boat afloat until McCaffrey returns.
.- In the first appearance of Davis Mills As a starter, Houston’s game plan was understandably comforting, although it looked good in the two-minute drive to end the first half. The problem is that they couldn’t run the ball, and when that happens, they don’t have a punch.
.- Derek Carr He’s getting big in big moments, and that’s why they’ve won two close games in overtime. Peyton Barber well made up for the absence of Josh Jacobs and the Raiders are 3-0 for the first time since they won their last Super Bowl in 2002.
.- The defense extended their losing streak, but the reality is that they were dominated for the bulk of the afternoon. The offense is pedestrian, and they opened the script too late to Jacoby Brissett. Questionable playbook for the Dolphins.
.- One of the victories that has most impressed me in the Era Mike room. Hard rival after bad start and without Dalvin Cook. Phenomenal match of Alexander Mattison and Kirk Cousins, while the defense shut out Seattle in complement. Vikings have life.
.- Seattle’s defense cannot stop either a running attack or an air attack. The CBs they have are not the solution, and when there is no pressure, they are more exposed. The offense has scored six total points in the second half of the last two games. Vital divisional duels are coming.
.- One of the best statistics to evaluate a QB is his effectiveness in third attempts. When everyone knows what you are going to do, can you hurt them just the same? Stafford was successful in 10 of 12 third attempts. The offense is explosive and the Rams are perhaps the best team in the league.
.- The Buccaneers watched their 10-hitting streak come to an end. The offensive was relatively effective. The problem is that he was injured Jamel DeanAnd Tampa Bay, already needy in high school, now badly needs a cornerback. Do youRichard Sherman?
.- While it is true that the three rivals defeated by the Broncos still do not know victory this season, no one apologizes for a 3-0. Now they lost Graham Glasnow and Dalton Risner, for which his offensive line will be put to the test. Defensive is elite.
.- The Jets haven’t been winning in any of their games, they haven’t been competitive. Zach Wilson He threw two more interceptions and is the most-sacked quarterback in the NFL thus far. We knew it was going to be a rebuilding year, but so far it has been embarrassing.
.- Aaron Rodgers He’s in the select group of quarterbacks among whom, giving him 37 seconds is too long. The Packers’ game plan was exceptional: They knew they had a tackle with 14 snaps in their career, and they got rid of the ball as quickly as possible.
.- I understand they’ve suffered countless injuries at the position, but the 49ers have to rediscover their running game to think about being a contender. Otherwise, Trey Lance you will have to be more involved. Without being able to run, they are a predictable and not so physical attack
