“HK Rīga” hockey players do not score and lose Moscow “Dinamo” again

On Wednesday, the Riga team lost to the Russian Youth Hockey League (MHL). Rigans lost 0: 3 to Moscow’s “Dinamo” youth.

Matthew Nadvorny stood out twice against the opponents. The home team also had a slight advantage in the throw-in – 32:25.

On Tuesday, the Latvian team conceded to the Muscovites with 3: 4.

With ten points in ten games, “Riga” takes the 11th place in the Western Conference, but “Dinamo” with 14 points in ten battles is the fifth.

Over the weekend, Rigans will play two home games with the St. Petersburg SKA-1946.

In the previous season, “Rīga” took the 13th place in the regular championship in the Western Conference and did not qualify for the elimination tournament.

After the previous MHL season, the Latvian team has undergone quite significant changes. After one season, the head coach Raimonds Vilkoits and his assistant Aleksandrs Nizhivijs have returned to the coaching corps in the Riga “Dinamo” team, but Nikolajs Žurkovs continues to work as the goalkeeper coach. Juris Opuļskis continues to perform the functions of a team manager.

The players have 14 hockey players left in the application from the previous season, but 21 new hockey players have joined, which has reduced the average age of the team. The goalkeeper line has completely changed, but there have also been significant changes in defense and attack.

The MHL 13th season calendar stipulates that each team will play 64 games in the regular championship (32 at home, 32 away). The “Rīgas” team plays in the Western Conference, which has 17 teams and only the top eight enter the playoffs.
