IJsselmeervogels has to look for a new head coach. It was announced through the official channels of the association that Berry Smit, at his request, had the contract that was still ongoing, terminated with immediate effect.
The 48-year-old trainer is no longer able to combine his daily activities as a performer in combination with his family life with his position as head coach of IJsselmeervogels. On Monday evening, Smit still appeared on the training field, where he communicated his decision to the staff and the selection.
Smit made his appearance as head coach of IJsselmeervogels in the summer of 2020. He previously worked for FC Volendam and RKAV Volendam.
