The Fussistes will thus have to compete against the 19 best teams in the Arab world, including the defending champion, Ittihad Alexandria, the Beirut club of Lebanon, Al Ahly of Egypt, El Ouakra and Al Gharafa of Qatar, as well as than several other clubs from Yemen, Tunisia, Bahrain, Algeria, Palestine and the United Arab Emirates.
The Arab Basketball Union is expected to draw lots for the competition on Monday. The competing teams will be divided into four groups, of which the 1st and 2nd will advance to the quarter-finals. The meetings will take place in the rooms of Ittihad Alexandria and Borj Al Arab.
Ittihad Alexandria won the last edition of the Cup, which took place in Morocco in 2019, defeating Beirut of Lebanon (90-86).
