MAZATLÁN._ After an intense day, the finalists who will seek the title of champion within the Patrio Britania Tennis Tournament 2021, which takes place in the Club Britania.
A day of exciting semifinal matches took place this Saturday at the facilities of the Club Britania, where the best tennis players gathered in search of winning their ticket to the last instance of the competition.
Within the Mixed Doubles category, the duo made up of Gloria Lira and Cristóbal Tostado earned their place in the grand final after beating Dino Durán and Mariana Aviña by a score of 8-5.
Exhibiting a high level of play, Lira and Tostado secured their pass, after standing firmly behind the net and with a forceful offense, they ended up defeating Durán and Aviña.
Those who also advanced to the final duel were Enrique Hernández and Gabriela Valdez, because with a forceful offense, they beat Juan Carlos Tapia and Érika Soto 8-0.
In the Men’s Singles ‘C’ category competition, Jorge Ávila got his pass to the final after winning in two sets of 6-1 and 6-2 over José Berrones, while the other finalist will be Édgar Garzón, by winning in two sets 6-0 and 6-2 to Enrique Hernández.
This Sunday, the final meetings of each of the categories of this competition will take place, starting at 8:00 a.m., to later carry out the award ceremony, around 12:00 noon.
