Mexico wins basketball gold at “World School Games” in Belgrade

Mexico closed its participation in Belgrade, Serbia, with a gold medal in the discipline of basketball. And it is that the national team of basketball sub-15 he prevailed in the final of the discipline by 69 against 52 against Serbia, a result with which he won the championship for the first time in that contest.

With this, Mexico achieved 16 medals in the “World School Games”, the product of four golds, eight silver and four bronzes, in the disciplines of athletics, taekwondo and basketball.

At the start of the game, the host team achieved a 12-6 lead, however, Mexico immediately came into play and in the second quarter turned the score around 17-16, it was then that the national team took the lead. front and went to rest 37 to 24.

Already in the third quarter, the selection sub-15 closed with a score of 56-42, but in the last minutes of the game Serbia managed to get closer to 52-56, but finally, Mexico sealed the end with the score of 69-52. The World Cup fair brought together 2,500 participants from 35 countries, who saw action in 14 disciplines.
