Dennis Schröder has been a frustration for Anthony Davis

Although the average fan can understand the why, it is strange that a franchise offers 20 million per season to a player and, months later, not even consider its renewal. The departure of Dennis Schröder from the Lakers has been silent, but it is perfectly understood by how out of place he has been seen in the final stretch of the season. Now we know that inside the dressing room they also had this feeling, and Anthony Davis was even frustrated by sharing a track with him.

The complaint is brought to light by Eric Pincus in Bleacher Report and the source would be a person close to the day to day of the franchise. According to the leak, Davis was unhappy with the few situations in which Schröder looked for him at the post, one of the most repeated plays by the Lakers since La Ceja joined the team. Anthony compared the dynamics that emerged between the German guard and his, again, teammate Rajon Rondo, with whom Davis claims to have a much more satisfactory relationship on the court.

In reality, Dennis Schröder failed to build positive synergies with any of the heavyweights on the roster and only Montrezl Harrel was at times a beneficiary of the German’s vertical play. Davis’ message can serve as a warning to boaters, as past Rondo’s return; Russell Westbrook and Kendrick Nunn will be the new tenants of the base position. By nature, AD’s character prevents him from being assertive about this kind of thing, but the Los Angeles squad should understand that feeding Davis is getting closer to winning the coveted ring. LeBron James understood it from day one, and now he will have to do everything newcomer.
