Acireale – The ‘Torneo degli Ulivi’ of archery took place yesterday, September 4, in Acireale in Sicily. The young athletes Elena Branca and Chiara Dattilo, both from Maida, won the double gold medal. The news of the victory is given by the ‘Arcieri di Maida’ Company, whose members thank “the fellow archers of Catania for their welcome”. The two young athletes have numerous successes behind them. Elena Branca, for example, took part last August 2nd in the World Youth Archery Championships representing the Italian national team which were held in the city of Wroslaw in Poland.
