As a sign of recognition for the great sporting achievements at an international level, this morning the Councilor for Sport, Vito Colonna, wanted to reward the young karateka from L’Aquila with the seal of the city Federico Arnone, class 2004, who won the 2021 European team champion title in the Azzurri jersey last August at the “48th Karate Junior, Cadet and U21 European Championships 2021”, in Tampere, Finland, for the Junior category in the World Karate Federation.
Federico Arnone he is 16 years old and attends the fourth year of the “D. Cotugno ”of L’Aquila. He started practicing karate at the age of 3 and in a short time he distinguished himself on regional and national tatami mats. At the age of 10 he participated as a singles athlete in the opening ceremony and finals for the World Karate Federation World Championships (in Bremen, Germany). He is part of the Italian karate team of the Italian Federation of Judo Fighting Karate and Martial Arts since 2016 and has collected a long series of successes in international sports competitions to date, bringing the flag high on podiums all over the world.
