Champions League 2021/2022 will soon roll on and the hunt for the top scorer will be an interesting thing. Here are seven candidates for the Champions League top scorer.

The Champions League will start the first matchday on Tuesday (14/9). In addition to the title race, the competition for the top scorer is also an interesting thing to watch in the Champions League.

The fertile bombers will be elbowing each other for the title of the sharpest striker in the most elite competition in Europe.

Here are the top seven potential Champions League scorers this season:

1. Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland was the king of Champions League goals last season. This makes Haaland worthy of being the favorite again to be one of the winners this year.

At the start of this season, Haaland has scored eight goals. Haaland proved his appearance on the front lines of Borussia Dortmund is getting more mature.

4. Karim Benzema

Karim Benzema’s burden of being one of the leaders of Real Madrid is even greater after Sergio Ramos left this season. That responsibility will spur Benzema to try to appear more lethal up front.

Benzema has proven his worth by scoring five goals in La Liga so far. Benzema will try to continue this good trend in La Liga in the Champions League.
