101 Brimob Troops Move to Papua, Here’s the Message from the Police Chief Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus

jpnn.com, GORONTALO – The Gorontalo Police sent as many as 101 Brimob troops to help secure the XX National Sports Week (PON) in Papua.

The Gorontalo Police Chief Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus said hundreds of Brimob troops under operation control (BKO) carried out security for PON XX from October 2-15, 2021.

“These personnel will be directly involved in the implementation of security with Brimob Nusantara,” said Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus, Thursday (16/9).

He explained that the personnel sent to Papua had gone through training on security methods in accordance with the specified object.

Inspector General Akhmad also advised the personnel to continue to uphold local wisdom in Papua during security later.

“For personnel departing, we hope that they must be able to adapt and collaborate with all people in Papua so that the 20th PON event can run safely, successfully and smoothly,” concluded Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus. (between/jpnn)
