With its sights set on Mexico, the U16 National Team returns to focus

The U16s that are preparing for the Premundial at the end of August, will start their last meeting before the tournament this Monday. There are 16 young people summoned by Sandra Pavón.

The Argentine U16 National Team will focus on Cenard again from next week. After completing its previous stage of practice just a few days ago, there will not be much time for breaks and the young litter will return to training from next Monday 9. The objective in sight is the Premundial of the category, stipulated to be played in the city from Guanajuato, Mexico, from August 23 to 29.

Under the leadership of Sandra Pavón and her assistants Agustín Lukac and Lali González, there will be 16 players who will enter on Sunday the 8th to concentrate after swabs and corresponding control studies. Of the list of 20 that was presented in the last concentration, there are several novelties in this regard.

One of the good news that there will be for this new U16 meeting is that there will be the return of the young women who were left out of the previous concentration by Covid-19 and close contact. We are talking about Delfina Cergneux (Tomás de Rocamora), Paula Santini (Rocamora) and Natalia Cullén (Echagüe), who have already completed the epidemiological period and may be available.

Also, among the good news, will be the presence of Nerea Lagowski (pivot of 1.95 meters), who was in the previous concentration with a sprained ankle and will arrive in good condition to start training next week. Same case for Juana Amaya, who had already trained normally in recent days after recovering from a strain.

Another piece of information on this list is that Laura Guglielmi rejoins, from Necochense who had already been in the practices that were carried out with this group in February (at that time preparing for the South American). Those who will not be on this new list regarding the last concentration are Lucía Ballari, Emilia Cardonati, Virginia Peralta and Azul Stehli.

It is scheduled that this is the last concentration of the U16 before the World Cup, so the Albiceleste delegation will stay for the next few days at the Ramada Hotel until defining the 12 players that will make up the team that will travel to Mexico.
