Werder Bremen: Will Adidas CEO Harm Ohlmeyer be Bode’s successor? – Bundesliga

Since Monday afternoon, it has been clear which seven candidates will be available for election on September 5 for the four vacant positions on the Supervisory Board.

Particularly exciting is the question of who will ultimately lead the supreme control body and thus succeed Boss Marco Bode (52), who is withdrawing voluntarily.

Adidas board member Harm Ohlmeyer (53) is considered a promising candidate for the post (will be elected by the new supervisory board).

He has been working for the global corporation since 1998, has been in charge of finances since 2017 and most recently brought up the topic of digitization there.

As an active player, the good friend of managing director Klaus Filbry (54) had to end his career at TSV Verden at the age of 19 due to a serious injury.

The Bremen descent in May should have given him the idea to get involved in the club.

Incidentally, it can be doubted that the supplier Umbro would be happy to have a man from competitor Adidas in a management position.
