VIDEO. Olympics athletics: a whole NFL team encourages the wife of a player in the 400m

American football is not yet a test of Olympic Games but that doesn’t stop NFL players from watching what’s going on in Japan. Especially when the trials involve family members.

David Blough, a Detroit Lions player, was thrilled by the race of his wife, Colombian Melissa Gonzalez, during the 400m hurdles heats on Saturday morning in Tokyo. In a club cinema room, the quarterback experienced the race accompanied by all his teammates. They were obviously elated when Melissa Gonzalez finished first in her race.

The moment was captured by the club’s communications teams and posted on social media.

The Colombian semi-final takes place this Monday. She will participate in the third race scheduled around 1:55 pm No doubt that the Detroit Lions will still be in front of the screen.
