The record is broken! Manchester City formalized Thursday the arrival of Jack Grealish for an amount of 117 million euros, unprecedented in the history of English football. The 25-year-old England international leaves his long-standing club, Aston Villa, for the English champion where he has signed up for six seasons. It reinforces an already well-rounded armada. But, despite this resounding blow, the summer transfer window of the team coached by Pep Guardiola is certainly not over.

€ 117m: Grealish must decide if he becomes England’s most expensive player

After a week of reflection, Grealish who made all his classes at Aston Villa, ended up giving in to the advances of City. An extension at the Villans was even being considered but he chose to accept the Premier League champions’ six-year contract proposal to give a new, more ambitious dimension to his career and discover the Champions League.
Kane also approaching
Much to the dismay of Aston Villa supporters who see Grealish as the club’s darling, things have accelerated over the past two days. According to the English press, the attacking midfielder, darling of the Threee Lions fans, flew to Manchester during the day to undergo his medical examination and finalize the details of his contract.
The 117 million euros spent by City set a new record in England, surpassing the 105 million paid by Manchester United in 2016 for Paul Pogba. This amount should however be beaten in the next few days. Because this boost could ignite the Premier League market. The defending champions hope to add Harry Kane to their squad and are ready to put 150 million on the table to convince Tottenham. For their part, Chelsea are targeting Romelu Lukaku of Inter and are said to be inclined to release 130 million.
