Lauri Markkanen’s future seems increasingly distant from the Chicago Bulls. The player is aiming for a major contract lasting several years, while the Bulls seem intent on playing on hold, strengthened by the qualifying offer of just over 9 million dollars for next season. The Charlotte Hornets could then win by offering Markkanen what he asks for and which Chicago is unwilling to offer.
Last season, Lauri Markkanen averaged 13.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. His figures have all worsened since his rookie year, in which he also finished in the top quintet of freshmen.
