The Chilean delegation at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo 2020 continues to give us joy, because Mariana Zúñiga achieved an unexpected silver medal in archery and Team ParaChile added its fourth medal so far in the competition.

The national athlete reached the podium after defeating the Russian Stepanida Artakhinova in the semifinals and falling in the final against the British Phoebe Paterson, adding a cumulative 133-134.

Despite the defeat in the final, the medal that Zúñiga achieved was a true revelation: at only 19 years old, she was the youngest specialist in the national delegation and it was also her first participation in a ring event.

It is worth mentioning that Team ParaChile achieved its fourth medal so far in Tokyo 2020, after the gold and silver of Alberto Abarza in swimming and the world record and gold that Francisca Mardones reached in the shot put.
