In the final of the play-offs of the national football championship of the second division of Togo played this Sunday at the Kégué stadium, the formation of Kakadl FC of Doufelgou was crowned champion. She beat Kotoko FC de Lavié 3-2 in penalties, after a 2-2 draw.
After a quarter of an hour of play in this final, the Porcs Épics de Lavié Kotoko FC impressed their opponents. In the 21st minute, Kotoko took the lead thanks to a goal from Adzogou Kossi. But Kakadl FC quickly set the record straight in the 30th minute.
On the restart, Kakadl FC de Doufelgou regained the advantage in the 52nd minute through Akomedi Koffi. Stunned, Kotoko FC equalized thanks to a goal from defender Ouro-Koura Arissou in the 62nd minute. After this draw of two goals everywhere, Kakadl FC won 3 goals to 2 in the penalty shoot-out.
Kakadl FC is therefore crowned champion of the national second division football championship for the 2020-2021 season. Doufelgou’s club are promoted to the first division with their unfortunate runner-up, Kotoko FC.
