LAS VEGASManny Pacquiao Proud to beat the champion welterweight IBF/WBC, Errol Spence Jr in a duel for the title at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, United States (US), Saturday (21/8/2021) local time. Pacman -pacquiao’s nickname- considers Spence no better than Keith Thurman.

Pacquiao thinks Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman has a bigger skill and body than Spence. The legendary boxer from the Philippines gave Thurman the first defeat of his career in July 2019.

In the 12-round match, Pacman won by points over Thurman. The first judge gave 114-113 to Thurman, the second judge 115-112 to Pacquiao, and the third judge 115-112 to Pacquiao.

However, Pacquiao’s disdain for Spence is supported by several facts. Spence’s performance seemed to decline against a boxer from Philadelphia, Danny Garcia in December 2020. Spence didn’t look excited when he fought against Garcia even though he could still win the match.

Spence also looks very heavy against Garcia. The US boxer looks to have lost his agility and is much easier to hit. The car accident he experienced in October 2019 is considered to be one of the factors in the decline in the New York-born boxer’s performance. Plus he lost over 30 pounds during his camp training.

Pacquiao is looking at the big game in mid-August with confidence. He still believes that his opponent two years ago was more difficult than his opponent this month. Even if you look at the statistics, both Thurman and Spence were both unbeaten before fighting Pacman.

“I survived that fight and I won the fight because of my hard work. I do my best in training and focus. I’m happy with my performance against Keith Thurman,” Pacquiao said as quoted by Boxing News, Thursday (5/8/2021).

“I did my best because he is also strong and a good fighter, so I’m not very confident for that fight.”

“This is how you dedicate yourself to hard work, how you discipline yourself and how you punish yourself in hard training. You are the one who handles yourself to stay at the top,” added the boxer who is also a politician.

Pacquiao’s match against Spence will be held in Las Vegas. The 31-year-old Spence has good stats with 27 wins, 21 of them by knockout and has not lost at all. Paquiao, who is 11 years his senior, has not lost in a flash of 62 wins, seven draws and two defeats. Among his 62 wins, 39 times he knocked out his opponent.
