The Korean Open, scheduled between late August and early September, has therefore fallen by the wayside, just like the Macao Open in November, said the World Badminton Federation (BWF) in a statement in which it explains that the organizers “Have no other choice”.

The Korea Masters are also canceled. Scheduled for June, they had initially been postponed to a later date.

The pandemic had greatly disrupted the 2020 badminton calendar, then international competitions began to resume in 2021.
