Tent camp after one year of compulsory break: Singener Wochenblatt

Radolfzell. 50 children and almost as many helpers and carers were able to experience a wonderful, carefree weekend at the old Liggeringer sports field from July 23rd to 25th. After a compulsory break for a year, the anticipation was huge and so the teams and their coaches rushed to the playing fields immediately after the draw to play their first training games in dodgeball, baseball and handball, reports the HSC. There was a lot of activity in the floodlights until well into the night, the full moon rose blood-red and rounded off the scene to an almost romantic appearance.

The places around the campfire were also filling up and some of them reminisced about years of camping in the past. Due to an approaching thunderstorm, Saturday morning began at 6 a.m. when everyone was taken out of the tents and into the safe shelter of the hut. The game operations could then be carried out smoothly throughout the day. To keep everyone entertained, the helpers were allowed to play against the children and later against each other. Thanks to highly motivated children and committed coaches, the games were exciting, but fun was always in the foreground. So no one was deterred by the thunderstorms on Sunday night. Rather, three interesting finals were played in front of the parents and siblings, after the end of which all participants and helpers were sent home tired but happy and satisfied with a small present.
