Jude Bellingham seemed to have secured Borussia Dortmund’s second win of the season. The 18-year-old was the man of the evening before events rolled over in the final phase. In the end it was once again Erling Haaland who had the last word in the spectacle.
Borussia Dortmund has found its way back to success with a happy victory over TSG Hoffenheim. At the start of the third Bundesliga match, BVB won 3-2 (0-0) thanks to goals from Giovanni Reyna, Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland.
Thanks to the late winner of the Norwegian (90 + 1), BVB prevented an early crisis and climbed to the top of the table for at least one night.
After the 1: 2 in Freiburg last weekend, Dortmund were already under pressure. “If we don’t get a result, it gets really uncomfortable,” said Marco Rose. With the returnees Raphael Guerreiro and Thomas Meunier, the coach had more alternatives after surviving the corona infection and ordered both of them directly to the starting line-up.
A brilliant start in Dortmund
The game was intense and combative from the start. Hoffenheim’s Christoph Baumgartner saw yellow in the first minute of the game. Team mate Stefan Posch followed just six minutes later. In between, Andrej Kramaric hit the crossbar with a header (3rd).
Luck for Dortmund, which from then on dominated and deserved the lead at break. The 1-0 fie, however, only after the change. The ball landed over the busy Marco Reus and Jude Bellingham at Reyna, who hit the well-deserved lead from 17 meters (49th).

Then it was the guests who took control of the game again. Baumgartner rewarded TSG after a remarkable attack to the deserved 1: 1 (61st). The reason for the fact that the point was still nothing was in Bellingham, who made Dortmund’s victory perfect with a courageous shot (69th) and Haaland.
