Solidarenses get 54 medals at the CONADE National Games

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, August 14, 2021.- The municipal president Laura Beristain Navarrete, recognized the effort, discipline and perseverance of the athletes of Solidaridad, as well as the support of their coaches and parents, by obtaining 54 medals in the 2021 CONADE National Games in the disciplines of open water, baseball , boxing, cycling, soccer, judo, weightlifting, partner wrestling, swimming, skating, taekwondo, archery, triathlon and sailing.

The Mayor ratified her commitment to continue supporting athletes: «To our proud members of solidarity, as well as the promotion of new talents and future generations; we are going to continue providing better spaces, trainers and quality medical care, while taking care of the physical and emotional health of our girls, boys and young people ”, he stated.

Solidaridad was among the first three municipalities of Quintana Roo with the highest number of medals obtained in the State Sports Games, as well as qualifying for the regional and national phase. Of the 54 medals obtained by solidarity in the CONADE 2021 National Games, 10 correspond to gold, 20 are silver and 24 are bronze.

It should be remembered that, in 2020, the municipality already had 18 disciplines that contributed 238 medals, of which 105 were gold, 65 silver and 68 bronze; Meanwhile, in the 2021 state edition, with 16 sports, 92 medals were won, affected by the pandemic, with 44 gold, 25 silver and 23 bronze.

In counterpart to this sports effort, the government of Laura Beristain Navarrete has spared no resources to comprehensively rehabilitate the municipality’s sports units, as well as sports fields and domes, the construction of a new sports unit in the Forjadores neighborhood and the acquisition of medical equipment for the treatment of athletes, among other contributions.
