On the question “which is the most exhausting match of the Olympics?”, Everyone has their own point of view: there are those who say the marathon, who the 50 km walk, who says “have you ever tried the 400hs?”, etc … That of the writer here is the open water “marathon”. The other morning ours Gregorio Paltrinieri swam 10km in the Tokyo Bay slime. “Slime”, yes, because the water was close to 30 degrees and in the end the poor swimmers were rescued with frozen cloths.

I mean, these poor guys swim chasing big buoys, each with its own trajectory, but the splashes of water prevent us from understanding if Tizio is actually 3rd and Caio 4th. The commentators concerned deserve a statue and so do we who have followed the (super) company of our Greg. After the trek we therefore chose to play karate and there, officially, we understood even less (but we won another bronze! Great!).
