PSG: Nesta Zahui, 18-year-old attacking prospect, goes to the Netherlands

Nesta Zahui leaves PSG. His name may not ring a bell, but he was one of the hopes of the Parisian training center at his post until the beginning of the summer. 18-year-old striker, winger or attacking midfielder, the native of Montmorency (Val-d’Oise) has signed up for two seasons, one of which is optional with Feyenoord Rotterdam, in the Dutch first division.

In recent weeks, the young man and his relatives were in discussions with PSG to sign a first professional contract in the capital. On June 30, his aspiring contract came to an end. Paris was, however, able to include a percentage for resale in Zahui’s lease in Rotterdam, as explained by L’Équipe.

“It’s a big step, where I hope to develop further as a footballer,” he explains on the club’s official website. My first objective is to conquer a starting position. After that, of course, the focus is on scoring goals and being decisive for the team ”. Coming from the 2003 generation, Nesta Zahui joined the red and blue club in 2015 after having set foot on the grounds of Franconville or Entente Sannois-Saint-Gratien in his department of origin. In 2017, he was elected best player of the Sens tournament (Yonne).

Many of the young footballers born in 2003 and trained at PSG have attracted the attention of several European clubs. Soumaila Coulibaly, central defender, signed up last March with Borussia Dortmund. Corentin Louakima, right-back, also escaped AS Roma in October 2020. Hubert Mbuyi-Mamba, defender, at Hoffenhein last May. This Monday, however, PSG formalized the signing of goalkeeper Mathyas Randriamamy among the pros.

In this generation, midfielder Édouard Michut, locked by PSG in the summer of 2020, is undoubtedly the greatest hope. Last June, he even initialed an extension of contract until 2025. Finally, during the summer preparation of Mauricio Pochettino with the pennant team, Samuel Noireau, striker, was regularly present. Just like other young people of the 2004 generation this time, Nehemiah Fernandez Veliz or Ismaël Gharbi.
