Olmedo invests almost 47,000 euros in new ‘skate’ and multisport tracks

If a few months ago the Olmedo City Council increased its sports infrastructures with the
installation of a calisthenics area in the Lope de Vega sports complexRecently, this space –to which dozens of residents go daily– has seen its varied leisure offer complemented with the creation of a multi-sports court and another for ‘skateboarding’.

Settled on an area of ​​416 square meters, in which 46,452 euros have been invested, the multisport court will allow the practice of sports such as futsal, basketball, handball, field hockey, volleyball, soccer, badminton, tennis, paddle tennis, gymnastics , aerobics and children’s sports; while
the ‘skate’ rink will solve the old demand of skateboard fans for a place to practice and develop your stunts and jumps on the ramps.

Although there have already been many residents who have come to know the new facility, and many interested in starting to make use of the multisport court,
its opening will take place before September 3 with the celebration of an event called ‘Equipo tot @ l’ organized by the Department of Sports.

It is a competition between teams of three or four people, necessarily mixed, by categories:
born in 2007, 2008 and 2009, born 2006, 2005 and 2004, and born in 2003 and earlier, which will face each day in a sporting modality: football, basketball, volleyball, tennis and badminton, according to reports from the City Council.
